To complement the slate of sponsoring company investor presentations, this year we are adding several speakers during both days of the Conference who will discuss key issues and developments in the energy industry in Louisiana.  Topics will include asset retirement obligation accounting and SEC reserve booking issues, new initiatives being proposed in Louisiana to encourage drilling, the status of deepwater activity in the current downturn, and other major issues facing Gulf Coast drillers and service providers.  Details will be provided on our web site, www.LouisianaEnergyConference.com under the Agenda tab.

Conference attendance is directed primarily to investment professionals including buy side portfolio and trust managers, and buy side and sell side energy analysts.  There is no fee for investment professionals to attend this symposium. This year limited seating will be available at the Conference for energy industry management and staff from non-sponsoring public and private energy companies, and associated service providers.   A nominal fee of $50 per day of attendance from non-investment professionals is requested.

Tulane Energy Institute Workshop Fri May 15
This year we are pleased to welcome the Tulane Energy Institute as a partner in our investment symposium.  On Friday, May 15 there will be a half-day workshop at Tulane University entitled, “Tools for Surviving Volatiles Times in the Energy Industry.”  Tulane faculty along with industry professionals will discuss the root causes of volatility in current energy markets along with tools that companies can use to help manage their exposure to these markets.  Tulane’s state-of-the-art $3 million energy trading room will be the focal point of this workshop.   Additional details on the Tulane Energy Institute Workshop and registration information are available at the Conference web site.  Attendance at the workshop will qualify for four hours of continuing education credit for accounting and legal professionals.  A nominal fee of $50 per person is requested for the workshop.  Attendance is limited due to facility size, therefore guests are encouraged to register early.
